As a Communication Strategist, you will be responsible for creating, organizing, planning, and implementing an effective communication strategy for all of Life Fellowship’s communication channels, including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, Mailchimp, Subsplash, Website, Google, YouTube, Roku, etc.
You will partner with church and ministry leaders to convey their vision and communications priorities to appropriate audiences.
This position works closely with the Senior Pastor, Creative Team Pastor, Project Manager, and Art Director to communicate all God is doing in and through Life Fellowship.
This full-time position will require 40-45 hours per week.
Principal Responsibilities*
• Develop and implement a multi-channel communications strategy driven by Life Fellowship’s mission/vision/values.
• Unify and align everyday messaging with the church’s voice, goals and priorities.
• Partner with ministries, meeting with them and creating communications plans to mobilize their specific audiences to respond.
• Participate in regular creative and brainstorm meetings.
• Guide a team of staff/volunteers to implement effective communications strategies.
• Ensure high-quality and high-impact communications reach both internal and external audiences.
• Collaborate and coordinate with project managers and social media team to launch digital campaigns for events, conferences, series, and other projects as needed.
• Clearly communicate strategies and content needs with Arts Director.
• Write high-quality, error-free content for a variety of Life Fellowship’s communication channels, including but not limited to website, print, social media, email, and internal applications.
• Edit and Proof written content as needed.
• Manage all our digital platforms and systems, including but not limited to Social Media Platforms, Mailchimp, Subsplash, WordPress, Google, YouTube, Roku, etc..
• Continually look for new ways of communications and trends.
• Monitor analytics and digital engagement and create reports to help the communications team make informed decisions based on the data collected, refine goals, & keep within budget constraints.
• Create and implement a communication flow that will convert prospective leads to active attendees engaging at Life Fellowship Church.
• Manage our website, implementing web edits and changes, creating new pages, regularly reviewing website for improvements and updates, and working with developer as necessary to keep the site updated, user-friendly and following best practices. Integrate content to maximize SEO and increase inbound traffic.
• Establish engagement goals, track analytics, report on metrics, compare goals to actuals.
• Contribute ideas to the creative process.
• Work with church and ministry leaders to define, develop and effectively communicate messages to church-wide and specific audiences.
• Create Social Media content as needed.
• Build a team of volunteers for the Communications Department.
• Perform or complete any items deemed necessary to support the vision and mission of the church
