Overview …
The Next Gen Pastor will build, grow, and provide leadership and focused pastoral care to ministries reaching those 0-18 years of age at First Baptist Church Leesburg – South Campus. This will include First Kidz-South and First South Students. He will function as a cooperative member of the First Baptist Leadership Team, report directly to the South Campus Pastor and ultimately to the FBCL Senior Pastor.
What You Will Do …
Next Gen Pastor Duties:
- Oversee the structure and ongoing ministry to children (0yo-5th grade)
- Oversee the structure and ongoing ministry to students (6th-12th grade)
- Provide discipleship and support to families with children and students
- Recruit, equip, and train, and lead lay-leaders and volunteers
- Other duties assigned by the Campus Pastor
General Pastoral Duties:

- Assist in the shepherding of South Campus members
- Represent and present the love of Christ and FBCL to the community
- Other duties as assigned by the Campus Pastor
Qualifications:
- Meet the Biblical qualifications for leadership (1 Timothy 3 & Titus 1)
- Be in full agreement with the BFM-2000
- Have an evident love for God and His church
- Express a clear calling to family ministry
- Be a humble but confident team-player
- Be an optimistic and effective communicator
- Commit to pray without ceasing for God’s ministry in and through FBCL

JOBS YOU WILL LOVE
• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred. Other professional development
• Excellent skills in software and other media relevant to the successful running of an office with international reach.
• Experience with social media and strong writing skills are necessary.
• Experience working in a cross-cultural
• Familiarity with the Episcopal Church and other provinces or churches of the Anglican Communion preferred.
