Position & Church Summary

The Marketing Content Coordinator/Strategist plays a vital role in the daily operations of our ministry. This individual will lead in the area of our digital content. From social media to YouTube to other forms of online content, this person will create and implement a strategy to help disciple our online community. The goal is to meet people where they are and to help funnel them to in-person community. The Marketing Coordinator/Strategist will seek to use their gifts and skills for the benefit of the church by contributing to the overall effectiveness and efficiency of this department, volunteers, and affiliated ministries.

Bethel is a growing, nondenominational, evangelical church that is striving to exalt Christ through expository preaching, God-saturated worship, loving community, and gospel outreach. We are located 40 minutes south of downtown Chicago in Northwest Indiana. Primary Tasks

  • Create content that increases subscribers, views, and engagement on current Bethel Church platforms (YouTube, Facebook/Instagram)
  • Collaborate on developing the overall digital ministry strategy for Bethel Church
  • Collaborate on how to use digital tools to support the overall church strategy (socials, email, YouTube)
  • Help develop a strategy for a better Sunday morning online experience that funnels people into community
  • Reach more people online to move to in-person community and body life
  • Strategize about ways to be evangelistic online
  • Strategize how to grow our digital footprint
  • Help develop metrics for evaluating the digital effectiveness of our church
    (metric dashboard)
  • Make sure Bethel is up-to-date on relevant and effective strategies for all digital channels

 


Skills

  • Moderate photographic and videographic skills, including editing
    • Need to have: an eye, vernacular, and ability to lead contracted, staff, or volunteers in getting comprehensive content
    • Be able to capture, edit, and post photographic and videographic content
  • Digital native—Loves to learn new platforms and evaluate if and how to use that platform for the overall digital strategy
  • Back-office understanding
    • Understands and can adjust strategies based on analytics and insights
    • Creates and maintains holistic strategies, procedures, and systems for our online presence
  • Creative thinker
    • Has an artistic eye
    • Knows and can incorporate trends when appropriate for the church setting
    • Can lead creatives
  • Create and implement the overall digital strategy of Bethel Church
